Back to Hand Wringing

As the title says, it’s back to hand wringing again. Phoebe doesn’t seem to be rebounding as well as we thought/hoped. Her energy seems to have faded–though not quite as bad as her worst moments. I normally find her sitting and not walking about (unlike her sister, Tuppence, who is properly peeping curious and energetic). When I reach my hand down into the pen, Phoebe doesn’t put up a struggle. Her eyes often closed, though she will open them when bothered.

The thing is, she just doesn’t show much enthusiasm for food or water. I mean, there was this brief time of a couple of days when it really looked as if she had rebounded to the point of scurrying about like a proper chick. At this point, I’ve returned to forcing the bottle back on her again. I really hope that works again. My fingers are crossed.
